Hawaii Issues IMLC Licenses (Issuing-Only)
Hawaii is a member of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact and issues IMLC licenses, but cannot serve as your State of Principal Licensure (SPL). If you have an eligible SPL elsewhere, IMLC is faster. If not, a single-state Hawaii application is the right path.
Hawaii issues IMLC licenses but cannot serve as your State of Principal Licensure (SPL). If you have an eligible SPL elsewhere, IMLC is the fastest path to a Hawaii license.
If Hawaii is your first state or you have no other eligible SPL, the single-state Hawaii Medical Board application is the right route.
We coordinate either path — IMLC routing through your SPL state, or direct application to the Hawaii Medical Board — depending on your situation.
Single-State Hawaii Medical License
Without an eligible SPL, you'll need a single-state Hawaii license. See the full guide.
